The Google for Startups Cloud Program provides resources to startups in all stages of development. These resources include financial, business, technical, and community support. It also helps startups build products and infrastructure using Google Cloud credits and special offers.

Key benefits include Google Cloud credits (up to $200,000 USD, or up to $350,000 USD for Scale tier AI startups), technical training, access to startup experts, startup perks, and business support. Members also have access to a global community of startups, investors, and partners.

The program includes Start tier for pre-funded startups and Scale tier for early stage startups, designed to meet emerging businesses where they are in their current journey.

Additionally, our AI tier and Web3 tier help Scale tier startups with their respective business needs through relevant resources and unique building tools.

Google Cloud may not accept companies that have IPO’d or been acquired, educational institutions, government entities, nonprofits, personal blogs or content, dev shops, consultancies, agencies, cryptocurrency mining companies, or companies distributing tokens contrary to regulatory guidance in their jurisdiction.

We are unable to provide program benefits if you’ve participated in the Google for Startups Cloud Program in the past, or received Google Cloud credits (beyond the standard free trial) via another Google Program. 

The Google Cloud credits you receive as part of the program can be used for Google Cloud services such as BigQuery and Vertex AI. The credits cannot be applied to any third-party services or offerings including those on Google Cloud Marketplace.

You may be eligible for additional AI, Google Workspace, and Google Maps Platform benefits as part of the program. Details will be provided in your Program welcome email.

Have your 18-character Google Cloud billing account ID and ensure the business email in your application matches your startup’s public website domain.

You create this ID when you sign up as a new Google Cloud account user. If you already have a Google Cloud account, access your console, navigate to ‘Billing’, then ‘Manage your billing account’ to view your 18-character ID.

We auto-populate your billing account ID based on the Google Cloud account associated with the business email address you provided to assure your application is processed smoothly. If the billing account ID populated does not match the ID you would like your credits to be deposited into, please provide the email address associated with the corresponding Google Cloud account or manually enter your billing ID.

In order to be approved for credits, your company website domain must match your email domain and the email domain associated with your billing account. Please check to ensure you are using the right email address and billing account or reach out to your cloud rep.

This type of funding will not qualify a startup for the Scale tier, but the startup may be evaluated for other program tiers.

Ensure that the business email you use in your application matches your startup’s public website domain. If needed, you can create a matching business email account with Google Workspace.

Please provide links to publicly available, online sources detailing the equity investments made in your company. If you’re in stealth mode, please work with your investor to verify your funding.

In most cases, you can expect to be informed within a few business days after your submission.

Inclusion in our AI program requires being an AI-first startup (having AI built into your startup's foundational structure and strategy and not only as a productivity/bolt-on layer).

Access to our open AI ecosystem to tap into Google Cloud infrastructure, AI products and foundation models, and up to $350,000 in credits. Program participants can also access Vertex AI Model Garden platforms for additional choice and flexibility.

Your startup can access our AI/ML architecture resources in the Google Cloud Architecture Center, generative AI training courses, technical guides, click-to-deploy solutions, and key workshops and events like AI Startup School and Google Cloud Next.

Through the Google for Startups Cloud Program, Web3 projects and startups provides you with up to $200,000 USD over two years for Google Cloud and Firebase usage, access to our Discord channel, foundation grants, VIP event access, and more.
